Woodard & Curran, an integrated science, engineering, design-build, and operations company was ready to relocate to a more modern space in downtown Portland.
Woodard & Curran, an integrated science, engineering, design-build, and operations company was ready to relocate to a more modern space in downtown Portland. In collaboration with COR, Workplace Transformation Facilitation, Cuningham, and Cianbro, W&C moved into their new 56,000-square-foot-space. With a 20 year lease, it was important to plan for future flexibility so they could adapt to new workstyles and trends. To achieve this, a combination of mobile and agile products were used including DIRTT prefabricated walls. On top of flexibility, principles of the Circular Economy were applied to the project layout and specifications. This meant selecting products designed to reduce waste and pollution, circulate products and materials, and regenerate nature. The space included workstations, huddle rooms, conference rooms, cafes, and lounge areas, all with a backdrop of Portland's waterfront views.
